My husband was fortunate to be able to do part of his Master's thesis project in the future Palo Pinto Mountain State Park in Strawn, Texas. I went with his team one weekend and took a lot of great photographs. I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit before road construction or any real amenities have been added. I saw it in its near pristine natural state. I painted this from one of those photographs.
